Knitting SOS's Heart

(C) Aneeta Patel - Knitting SOS - 2010

This pattern is for personal use only.  Please do not copy.

Double knit yarn (I like a traditional red, but any colour will work)

3mm needles - I use a smaller needle than usual for DK yarn as this makes the knitting stiffer - and the heart will be a stiffer shape so it can stand alone.

Abbreviations:

K = Knit

St(s) = Stitch(es)

K2tog = Knit two stitches together

M1 = Make one stitch

Start knitting here:

Cast on 3 sts
K 1 row

K1, M1, K to end
Repeat last row until you have 16 sts

Knit 10 rows.

* K 8 sts, turn.
Rep last row a further 4 times.

K2tog, k to last two sts,  k2tog.
K2tog, k to last two sts,  k2tog.

Cast off.

Rejoin yarn to other side.
Complete as from *

Weave in all ends.

Enjoy,
